The Brooklyn Film Festival in New York is a cinematic celebration of independence, artistry and excellence in the modern-day film milieu with an infusion of Brooklyn’s diversity and creative energy. Selections from the ten-day event have gone on to receive awards and nominations from the Academy Awards and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). Between 120-150 films are screened and among them are world premieres, short and feature length works, documentaries and animated movies. Q&A sessions, expert panels and an awards ceremony are among the additional attractions.
