Holiday Treats Arrive at Angelina Bakery
Angelina Bakery is the brainchild of Tony Park, who, was born in Palermo, Italy and brought his love of bombolonis to the States. Since opening the first location in Hell’s Kitchen, additional spots have opened up in Times Square, Grand Central, Nomad and most recently the Upper East Side on 3rd Avenue at 93rd Street. This is just the beginning as the franchise continues to expand.
In addition to their pastries that are available year-round, Angelina Bakery currently has seasonal treats that are perfect for any occasion where you want to impress the recipient, even if it’s yourself! We got to try the dessert shaped like a Christmas tree, which had a chocolate mousse and a surprising orange liquid interior. We also tried the Raspberry and Lemon offering, which were also delightful.
One of the most exciting seasonal offerings, is a genius collaboration with NY local distillery Great Jones Whiskey, a petite bomboloni filled with whiskey-smoked chantilly cream and topped with white chocolate and crumbled caramelized bacon. The pastry provides an elevated tasting experience that is a must experience for the season!
