Celebrate National Taco Day at Bar Bruno!

National Taco Day is just around the corner on October 4th, 2023! While there’s no shortage of delicious tacos in NYC, Bar Bruno is one of the standouts that we recommend this year. With locations in Carroll Gardens and Greenpoint, this hidden gem celebrates the art of taco making and more.

We started off with their signature margaritas and guacamole, which set the tone for a fun and delicious meal. The service was kind and lively and although we went on a Monday night, the vibes were friendly and upbeat. The cucumber margarita was especially delicious, a refreshing fiesta in a glass. It paired well with the bright flavors of the guacamole and crunch of the homemade tortilla chips. We added on some plantains for a sweet side, which were cooked to perfection. 

The tacos were authentic and delicious, offering the usual options of carnitas, chicken, veggies, fish, shrimp, and more, each flavor choice seasoned and balanced expertly. Though there were 3 filling tacos in each order, the taste left me craving more even after we had finished them.

Luckily there was more food on the way - we couldn't resist trying the birria pizza. This innovative entree featured layers of tender, flavorful birria meat over a crisp tortilla. Paired with the signature savory birria broth, this dish was nothing short of extraordinary.
