On a sunny day in September,  Diner en Blanc carried out their meticulously planned pop-up urban dinner party, complete with 4,000 guests, 250 volunteers and 23 meeting points that ultimately led to this year’s secret location, the Meatpacking District.

Guests carried everything they needed to execute the perfect dinner, from tables to tablecloths, dishes and glasses and immaculate menus and decorations. Pommery Champagne, this year’s bubbly sponsor, was on hand to add some sparkle to the night.

This year was different though because it was the first time that DEB and the Meatpacking District Management Association and the Street Activity Permits Office joined forces to carry out this event. It was also the first time that the event took over multiple city blocks, where everywhere you looked was a sea of white.

The evening included entertainment from Broadway soloists Margot Siebert and Allison Blackwell, a quartet on stilts and a DJ. New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams even stopped by to show his support to an event that has meant so much to the community for over the past decade. The star of this show is always the fashion though and there was plenty of that!
