Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience
Celebrate the holiday season with some appreciation for art and culture by taking a trip to Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience in Battery Park. With the ‘GoghFESTIVE’ experience, people of all ages can enjoy this one-of-a-kind VR experience complete with galleries, a drawing study, and state-of-the-art video mapping technology all about Vincent Van Gogh’s life and works. The exhibit has also partnered with many local businesses to offer exclusive discounts and promotions to the exhibit’s attendees.
Listening to a live performance by the Freeport High School Select Chorale while in the exhilaratingly beautiful immersive room was truly a unique experience, while the VR experience allows you to step right into the mind of Van Gogh and see his world come to life before your eyes. You can also explore Van Gogh’s bedroom reconstructed from his ‘The Bedroom’ painting.
After it’s highly anticipated arrival in New York City on June 5th after selling out in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, the exhibit has been given an extension through the holidays and the New Year. Located on the former trading floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange, now known as Skylight at 300 Vesey Street in Battery Park, the completely immersive (yet still socially distanced!) experience provides visitors a unique look and intimate understanding into the life and work of Van Gogh. The one-of-a-kind event is made possible by Exhibition Hub, an international entertainment producer and Fever, a leading entertainment discovery platform who have collaborated with Running Subway, a New York-based entertainment production company, to serve as the local producer.
