Bringing Latin American and Cuban cinema back to New York theatres, the 21st Havana Film Festival New York will feature over 30 films from 11 countries on September 17 - 23, 2021.

A full schedule of films will be announced August 11th.

Honoring two Cuban masters who recently passed away, Enrique Pineda Barnet (1933-2021) and Juan Carlos Tabío (1943-2021), HFFNY 2021 is screening newly restored prints of Pineda Barnet’s Giselle, an imaginatively cinematic take on the popular classical ballet starring prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso plus Tabío's Se Permuta (House Swap), a charming farce about the Cuban housing shortage.
