Now in its thirteenth year, the New York Cares 13th Annual Soirée is a 21 and over, swanky cocktail party and fundraiser taking place on Friday, May 19th from 8:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m. at The Bowery Hotel Terrace, 335 Bowery, located at 3rd Street, in Manhattan. Hosted by New York Cares’ young professionals committee, the Rising Leaders Council, the event is set to raise an impressive $175,000 in support of New York Cares’ year-round programming.
This year the Soiree is honoring Scott Silverstein, Leasing Manager at Equity Office, as this year’s Spirit of Service recipient. The event features a full open bar, delicious tastings and desserts from New York City’s top restaurants, dancing and entertainment, a silent auction and mystery raffle. Featured restaurants include: Ho’Brah Tacos, OddFellows Ice Cream Co., The Marshal, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, and more. Tickets start at $145 at NewYorkCares.org/Soiree.
The Soiree’s goal is to allocate all proceeds to support programming to improve education, meet immediate needs, and revitalize public spaces.
New York Cares is the largest volunteer network in the city. Last year, 64,000 New Yorkers made the city a better place by volunteering in New York Cares programs at over 1,300 nonprofits and schools – improving education, meeting immediate needs, and revitalizing public spaces.
